The work center is automatically suggested when you create work orders, issues or preventive maintenances, based on the associated entity. These are the rules followed by suggestions:

Location

The location’s cost center will be suggested if it is defined. If the cost center is not defined but there is a parent location, the parent location’s cost center will be suggested. If this parent location does not have a cost center, the system will search that location’s own parent location and so on until it reaches a location at the root of the tree or finds one where the cost center is defined.

Asset

Just like it does for locations, if defined, the system will suggest the asset’s cost center. If it is not defined, it will search its parent assets. When it does not find a cost center defined at the root asset level, it will search that asset’s locations and follow the rules for locations.

Location Route

The route’s cost center will be suggested. If this information is not defined, the system will suggest the cost center of the location’s route, following the rules for locations.

Asset Route

The route’s cost center will be suggested. If this information is not defined, the system will suggest the cost center of the location’s route, following the rules for locations.

Only cost centers that are active and valid for the current date are suggested. In the case of issues and work orders, the work centers that are active and valid for the entity date will be suggested.
