To configure a printer to be used for printing labels for assets or locations, access the “Configurations” menu and select the “Printer” option.
For the first time, users will have no printers configured and a menu for searching for bluetooth devices will popup. When the search ends select the printer you wish to use from the list.
After selecting the device, you will be redirected to the printer configuration menu, the “MAC Address” and other fields should already be filled in.
Next, simply press the “SAVE” button and the printer will be correctly configured.

If your printer does not include bluetooth technology, you need to select the “Type of Com” field, regarding the type of communication to use. After making this change you need to enter the “IP Address” field as well as the “Port”.

Which fields must I fill in?

For a bluetooth printer you only need to enter the “MAC Address”. As for the remaining fields:

    • Timewait” – Concerns the time used for communicating with the printer. We advise setting this to “0” by default.
    • Printer” – Allows you to select the printer from the list. Selecting this field is not required.
    • Com. Type” – Type of communication to be used for connecting to the printer.
    • MAC/IP Address” – Address to be used for communicating with the printer.
    • Port” – Port used for TCP/UDP communication.

How to print a label?

There will be a “printer” icon in the top right corner of the Asset / Location editing file. Press this icon and, if all configurations are correct, your label will be printed.

The “Tag” field cannot be left empty.
