In the assets structure, the association established between a parent asset and child assets is managed in a similar way to the change of location. A child asset (for example, an engine) can be dismounted from the parent asset (for example, a vehicle). On the other hand, it is possible to associate assets by, conversely, using the mounting process. Mounting can be accessed from the following option:
- Assets | Assets | Mount Asset
To mount an asset:
- Select the asset to be mounted;
- Select the target asset;
- Fill in the mounting date;
- In the list of meters, fill in the meter to be associated with the target asset;
- Press the "Create" button.
In case the asset to be mounted is already associated with another asset, the mounting is performed in two steps: dismounting the asset with which it is associated and mounting it in the target asset.
