Valuekeep Private Cloud Hardware and Software requirements

The installation of Valuekeep in a Private Cloud in countries where our Partner PRIMAVERA Business Software Solutions is in operation must be done via the PRIMAVERA Deployment Center (PDC) application.

The following minimum requirements are simply a suggestion. Any implementation must take into account each client’s specific requirements. The implementing agent is always responsible for adapting the infrastructure’s scalability according to the specific implementation scenarios.

It is very important to bear in mind that every system must have a specific usage and role. Sharing a system with other applications or using a server system as a client for the application are completely inadvisable scenarios.

What are the minimum software requirements for the SQL server?

Before installing Valuekeep, consultants must validate the following requirements of the SQL server:

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher;
  • SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher, with the following required configurations:
    • Security: SQL Server and Windows authentication mode;
    • Advanced | FILESTREAM | FILESTREAM Access Level : Full access enabled;
    • In the SQL Server Configuration Manager | SQL Services | SQL Server | Properties | FILESTREAM : Enable FILESTREAM for Transact-SQL access and Enable FILESTREAM for file I/O Access;
  • Framework .NET 4.5.1 or later;
  • Microsoft DTC service enabled.

What are the minimum software requirements for the IIS server?

Before installing Valuekeep, consultants must validate the following requirements of the IIS server:

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher;
  • IIS 7.5 or greater;
    • Firewall rules: Activate the inbound rules for the Distributor Transaction Coordinator, for the network which connects IIS to the SQL server (in different machines), for the protocols: Inbound RPC, RPC-EPMAP, TCP;
  • Framework .NET 4.5.1 or later.

Suggested Hardware

The following table shows four possible scenarios, divided into two situations (single SQL + IIS server or two separated servers). We favor the separate servers scenario (up to 10 users or between 10 to 30 users). These scenarios simply provide help when deciding which hardware to choose from, adjustments are necessary for other scenarios.
